About

For over 25 years, I’ve helped clients in the U.S. and Israel sell their vision and their story to the media, industry analysts, thought leaders, and throughout the blogosphere. In addition to applying very traditional PR methods and having or knowing how to cultivate the right type of media contacts, I’m helping my clients become successful content producers and curators in their own right via the Social Internet.

The idea is to not just sell my clients to the media, but help them be discovered online. Call it corporate communications, story telling, blogging, media relations or just plain old pitching - I blend art, science, method, and will in what I do.

I’ve worked with emerging and often times disruptive technology companies to help promote the beginnings of the personal computer revolution, the idea of sending and receiving data through a cell phone network, connecting computers through something called networking, one of the first Internet cafes in the world, the rise of computer security, online shopping, the commercialization of VoIP, the creation of the WiFi standard, the deployment of IPTV, being an evangelist for the wired home network standard known as G.hn, the world’s first Windows-based true multi-touch tablet PC, and many other transformational technologies that are now considered mainstream.

Recently, I’ve been working with thought leader Jeff Pulver in supporting media relations for the 140 Characters Conferences in New York, London, and Los Angeles, as well as examining the Humanization of Brands with #BrandsConf;  transforming the idea of application security with Denim Group; taking on, and disrupting major wireless carriers for pre-paid cellular company Pocket Communications (acquired late 2010); and working with Wildcard Network to reinvent the gift card industry.

I’ve been an advisor to now Mayor of San Antonio, Julian Castro on his Social Media strategy when he was a candidate for office. Applying my love of music, I’m the Social Media Advisor to  Redbone Guitar Boutique, that has transformed itself into one of the most unique purveyors of guitars in the world.

The WallStreet JournalGood Morning AmericaThe New York TimesCNetZDNetKiplingerTelephony, and many other media outlets have made note of the work I’ve done, including the launch of AT&T’s U-verse ITPV service from a consumer’s point of view, being the world’s first blogger to promote the sale of a home on the Internet and most recently, the world’s first online post SuperBowl Half Time Show

My clients have been featured in The New York TimesThe Financial TimesGizmodoPBS’ Media ShiftForbesVanity FaireWeekThe GuardianUSA TodayThe Village Voice, and many more.  Long-standing relationships with leading industry analysts including Gartner GroupIDCForrester ResearchFrost & SullivanParks Associates and In-Statenable my clients to engage with, and share their thought leadership in emerging technologies and trends.

I’m posting (almost) daily content on this site, and also blog over at San Antonio StartupsEverywire, and 3Screens. You can follow what I am up to on Twitter and Foursquare.  I read and save content aimed at sharing my knowledge on Delicious.  My photos live on Flickr, and you can see 200 of my own videos that are on my YouTube channel.   I believe in casting a wide net on the Social Web, which you may view on my Google profile.
